6 Service Teams

Details of the operation outline of each service team are as below:

Food Friendster

Students pay home-visits and deliver life-story writing services for elderly people who are using food assistance service.

  • Pair up and have in-depth interaction with the elderly
  • Do home visits, organize caring activities and deliver life story writing service for them

Social Walkman

Students explore social issues through action learning and organise public education events.

  • Organize "Human Library" for university students and public
  • "Meet your prejudice" through the events

Walkie Talker

Students conduct cultural and eco tours for non-local students.

  • Organize different types of local tours to foreigners
  • Enhance your cultural exchange experience

Web Maker

Students provide webpage design and production services for NGOs.

  • Learn to create or revamp websites for NGOs
  • Develop your presentation skill through meeting with NGOs

Wellness Transformer

Students organise fitness and wellness programmes for low-income children and disadvantaged groups.

  • Conduct day camps and regular long-term services for different groups
  • Raising their awareness of the importance of wellness under variety of themes

Wise Walker

Students provide guidance and mentoring for the children of visual/hearing impaired parents.

  • Support children as well as their family members through individual tutorial sessions
  • Relationship building with the family and understand their needs
